Arlene Schneider (1939-2022)


Arlene Rose Schneider, age 83, of Wauseon, passed away November 20, 2022, at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice. Arlene spent her life caring for her family and for her home.

Arlene was born April 7, 1939, in Wauseon to the late John and Margaret (Geyman) Miller. Arlene was a Wauseon High School Graduate of 1957.

On November 28, 1959, Arlene married Charles “Chuck” Schneider, who preceded her in death in 2019. Arlene enjoyed her Bunko Card Club.

Arlene most importantly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Dan (Heather) Schneider, of Toledo, Ohio, Mike (Karen) Schneider, of Whitehouse, Ohio, Tony (Ann) Schneider, of Texas, Betty (Aaron) Bock, of Defiance, Ohio, Angie (Frankie) Molina, Wauseon, Ohio, Rick (Kalynn) Schneider, Columbus, Ohio, Becky (Andy) Johnston, Wauseon, Ohio, and Joe (Trisha) Schneider, Wauseon, Ohio; 34 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Teresa Watsa, Janice Frontz, Eugene Miller, Jim Miller, Bernie Miller, Roseanne Hall, Margie Sneller, and Paula Wertz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; parents; infant granddaughter, Frankie Molina; and sister, Bonnie Krieger

Visitation for Arlene will take place on Monday, November 28, 2022, at St. Caspar Catholic Church in the Parish Life Center from 2pm-8pm. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 11am at St. Caspar Catholic Church, with Fr. Todd Dominique officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Caspar Catholic Cemtery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice.
