Immediate opening in Williams County Auditor’s Office for full-time (35 hours/week) administrative assistant with a strong finance/budgetary background. Applicant must be well organized and highly motivated and have a high school degree with two (2) years of demonstrated work related experience. Candidate will report directly to, and work closely with, the Auditor. Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Attention to detail and pride in your work is a priority. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, budget preparation and revenue forecasting, monitoring fund balances, assisting departments with various budgetary and compliance issues. Also, prepare monthly financial statements for Commissioners and distribute various monthly reports to all county departments, coordinate meetings and maintain minutes for various boards and committees, maintain and follow record retention schedules, and maintain fixed asset inventory reports. In addition, employee will assist with accounts payable/accounts receivable and payroll as needed. Also, analyze real estate valuations, tax rates and related reports. Employee will also be responsible for preparing annual financial reports for the County, Four County Solid Waste, Williams County Airport Authority, Family and Children First Council, and Williams County Park Board. Pay to commensurate with knowledge and experience.
