INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHCARE … On June 26, FCHC hosted its 43rd health care camp. This is a free camp intended to introduce students to careers in a healthcare culture and offer them an educational tour around FCHC. They practiced some core skills and got a close look around the pharmacy, cardiac rehab, radiology, ER, psych, and med surg, among other locations. They also got a quick course in wheelchair use. In attendance were (l-r) Adrienne Damman, Zoe Beman of Napoleon, Emily Froese of Wauseon, Ashalyn Rice from Pettisville and Sean Adkins, a student at the University of Toledo. Healthcare camp is also the gateway to future job shadowing or volunteering at FCHC. This camp is free but limited to only 10 students. The next camp will be held Wednesday, July 31, from 1pm-4:30. Interested students should contact Mary Gautz, Volunteer Coordinator at mgautz@fulhealth.org. Reservations are required.
