Irvin Osmun (1937-2022)

Irvin Dwight Osmun, age 85, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Park View Care Center in Edgerton.

Dwight worked for many years at Bryan Metals and retired from Superior Carbon. Dwight was a former member of the Bryan Eagles and a big NASCAR fan.

Irvin Dwight Osmun was born on May 30, 1937, in Farmer, Ohio, the son of Cletus G. and Mary (Scott) Osmun. Dwight graduated from Farmer High School.

Dwight is survived by his children, DaWanda (Ed) VanBuskirk, Darrell Osmun, and DeVonn (Erma) Osmun, all of Bryan; Dean (Paulette) Osmun, and Delilah Smith, both of Indiana; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; sister, Elaine Davis, of Defiance and brother, Claren (Phyllis) Osmun, of Edgerton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William, Dwayne, Drexell and Cletus S. Osmun; sisters, Laurel Koch, Aurel Mack, Mary Lou Geren and Sherri Ribeira; long time companion, Wilma Ostheimer and a grandson.

In accordance with Dwight’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. His arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.

The family suggests memorial donations to the Williams County humane Society.
