Kiwanis Club Hears From Bryan Superintendent & Honors Students Of The Month

BRYAN SCHOOL HISTORY … The guest speaker at the latest Byan Kiwanis Club meeting was Mark Rairgh, the Superintendent of the Bryan City School District. Mr. Rairgh oversees an annual operating budget of twenty-four million dollars that comes from a variety of funding sources. He shared with us the history of the Bryan School system from its inception in 1840 to the present. His focus on administering the system is centered on academics, the arts, athletics, services (to the community), and the school’s facilities. Future projects include a Career Tech Center, the Central Building and Auditorium Improvements and a Multi-Purpose Indoor Gym.

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH … The Kiwanis Club of Bryan welcomed the Students of the Month from Bryan High School. They shared with us their most memorable high school experience as well as their plans for college in the fall. Pictured left to right Danae Booth, Brooklyn Martin, and Cassidy James
