Michigan Officials: 653 New Confirmed Virus Cases, 28 More Deaths

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — More than 650 new cases of the COVID-19 virus have been confirmed in Michigan.

Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services reported Saturday that the 653 cases bring the state’s total to 68,948.

Another 28 deaths have been reported from complications due to the virus, but 22 were from reviews of vital records.

The state said 6,067 people in Michigan have died due to the coronavirus.

Michigan also has 7,422 probable cases of the virus and 246 probable deaths that are not included in the confirmed case and death figures.
