Teen Severely Burned In Fire At Toledo Apartment Complex

TOLEDO. Ohio (AP) — A fire at a Toledo apartment complex has left a girl severely burned, authorities said.

Emergency responders went to the Larchmont Apartments around 10:15 p.m. Monday after a 911 caller reported the fire in a second-floor unit there and said there were children outside of the apartment with unknown injuries.

The fire was contained to a bedroom and was quickly brought under control by firefighters.

The injured girl received advanced life support treatment at the scene and was taken to a hospital, where she was being treated for injuries that were considered life-threatening. Her name and further details about her have not been released, and it wasn’t clear if she lived in the apartment where the fire broke out.

No other injuries were reported in the fire, authorities said.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
